Pradeep Chowbey is one of the world's best Bariatric Surgeons in India who is currently working as an Executive Vice Chairman at Max Institute of Minimal Access Centre, Max Healthcare. He has 45 years of experience as a bariatric surgeon and has provided training to more than 20,000 surgeons from across the world. Dr. Chowbey is one of the first doctors in the world who has performed laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Besides this, Dr. Pradeep is featured in the Guinness Book of Records in the year 1997 and the Limca Book of records for twenty consecutive years (2000-2020). He is the author of more than 300 original research papers in national and international journals and has served in various chapters of prominent publications.
